He was one of the more decent teachers there and cared about the safety of the students. He dressed more casually, and didn't seem to take the military role seriously, which angered Duke King.

After the assembling incident, Nathan believed that while he didn't mind the students fighting, but he didn't want the second years to use their seniority to order the first years around. When the civil war broke out, the new world leaders were decided, he took a demotion for the new schooling structure and Nathan and Hayley were placed under the cursed faction by the supreme commander Oscar. When the second Dalki war broke out Nathan still worked under the Cursed faction by Oscar’s orders. The Dalki launched a full scale attack attacking all the planets at once. Quinn sent Nathan back to the Earthborn group to help aid Oscar during their endeavor. After Oscar’s passing, Sach was named the new Supreme commander. Oscar’s demon weapon was lost in the fight with the Dalki so Sach sent Nathan and 300 men to the planet where it was lost. There Nathan successfully recovered the lost demon weapon and learned about how the dalki are strangely helping the civilian on the planet. During the Cursed Faction arc, he "betrayed" Quinn when working under the tight hands of Pure.
