Metatron

Unlike other angels who can act semi-freely, Metatron needs contracts to take action. If they deem the rewards suitable for the job, they can unseal a portion of their power and begin acting. Otherwise, they will simply move around and observe.

They are an angel with many pairs of wings. Six cover their head while twenty eight are found on other parts of the body. These wings appear to be restraining Metatron.

In the past, Metatron was the leader of the angels. They taught angels directly and convinced them to hone their skills instead of relying on their memories. Eventually, Metatron was branded a tyrant and impeached. Wings around them were established as a safety device and all people needed to make contracts with Metatron to use their power. Story Chapter 1798-1801 When Braham invades Asgard, Gabriel offers Raphael's wings to them to chase the intruder. Metatron agrees, and pursues Braham to the Human World. While there, Metatron fights and is killed by Grid. They do not completely die, as their soul could not be extinguished. Chapter 1868 Metatron descend to warn Grid about Eat Spicy Jokbal's tower and Chiyou, but was blown away by Chiyou shortly after. Chapter 1874 Metatron briefly fought Nervatan when Bunhelier interrupted.
