The Light Borns grinned, some clenching their fists, celebrating the successful attack. After all, this time, they had seen with their own eyes that their attack had landed right in front of them. There was no way the enemy would be able to take an attack at such a level head-on and come out without grievous injuries. Now, all they needed to do was to prepare for the next phase of the battle, where they would try to capture the injured Anomaly. "Don’t kill him. He will be useful." One of them ordered. Others, who thought the same, nodded as they took their battle stance, ready for the final phase. But then... A familiar scene replayed. As the bright light faded away, a figure appeared, and the Light Borns... they all once again widened their eyes in horror. Yes, once again, the Anomaly was unhurt. He nodded to himself before he closed his eyes and sighed— "Whatever, I still have time—" His gaze then fell on the Light Borns and— "—and the training dummies. I can do it." He nodded to himself, his eyes regaining their light. The Light Borns, however, were different. "H-He survived!!" One of them shouted, bringing others out of their reverie. "H-How!?" Questions were asked. Questions no one had the answers to. "Alright, try doing that again. I want to see if I reach a higher number this time." Nux muttered with a grin. To him, this was never a battle to begin with. This was... this was just another training session. His words only worked to offend the Light Borns. Their eyes flared with anger as one of them raised his hand— "Conversion!" He announced as he clenched his fists. Whoosh Whoosh Whoosh Hundreds of radiant symbols formed in the air. The Light Borns poured their collective energies into one single strike—a golden beam as thick as a world’s core, forged from the prayers of a thousand galaxies. Everything happened so quickly that within a second, the attack was ready, and without wasting any time, the Light Borns pointed toward Nux. Nux wanted to dodge it, so he prepared for the incoming attack, but suddenly—his expression changed when he saw the leading Light Born grin ever so slightly— Something was wrong. He realized it, but before he could understand or think about it, the beam the Light Borns had gathered moved. Nux tried to dodge but— The beam struck Nux directly. WFFOOOOOOOFFSSHH The blinding storm instantly overwhelmed his entire body as he vanished into thin air. The Light Borns’ eyes glinted. This was one of their trump cards—an attack that could defeat even the beings with the strongest defense—but... Once again, as the light faded— They saw him. Walking forward... through the beam as if it did not affect him one bit. The only thing that was burning and constantly regenerating were his clothes. As for his body... Nothing. There was nothing on it. Even their ’greatest’ attack had failed—utterly. "N-No! This can’t be!" One Light Born, losing his sense of control, tried to intercept him, summoning a Sword of Solarity—a blade of energy that could split literal worlds in half. He swung but... The Light Born carrying it stared at Nux in absolute horror, and Nux... He just extended his hand and grabbed him by his head. Again, the familiar scene repeated, and in front of all the other Light Borns, another one of their comrades vanished. "..." "..." Silence. Absolute silence fell over the place. The Light Borns stared at the monstrous being in front of them in horror, while Nux continued walking toward them. By now, it was already clear— The fight was uneven. The difference between the two sides was simply too big. Even the Light Borns’ strongest attacks—the ones where they combined all their strength—failed, not even managing to graze the enemy’s skin.
