The moment the Death Bat summoned the Archons to join the battle, the three Majin Princes knew that they had no chance of surviving the fight, let alone winning. Staying would be akin to suicide, so they didn’t even think about their troops before escaping by themselves. Sahard had transformed into his true form, a Thunderbird. This form had a wingspan of twenty meters and a length of ten meters. It was one of the fastest flying birds in existence, swifter than the Demihuman Roc, Zed. Unfortunately, it still wasn’t the fastest, which brought him to his current predicament. "You’re not too shabby, huh?" Camazotz said as he flew right beside Sahard. The Death Bat had a devilish smirk on his face as he appreciated the specs of his soon-to-be servant. "Get away from me!" Sahard screeched in anger, frustration, and despair as he unleashed a lightning bolt attack at the Death Bat, who made the smallest move needed to dodge the Thunderbird’s attack. "I change my mind," Camazotz stated. "I’ll just give you to Zion. I thought that Rank 9 Carrion Lord would be a good flying mount for him. But you’re better, so you’re replacing him." "Screw you!" Sahard went all out, unleashing dozens of lightning bolts in quick succession before flying toward Camazotz like a railgun. He was a mighty Majin Prince. How could he let the Death Bat turn him into a mere human’s mount? Dying would be the more honorable path! The Death Bat knew that he couldn’t possibly fight head-to-head with the Thunderbird, whose entire body was now covered with lightning. He also had no intention of punching the monster’s beak because he relied on speed, not strength, to unleash his blows. So using his speed, Camazotz did the unthinkable. In the span of a heartbeat, he pushed his speed to the limit and appeared above the Thunderbird’s head. Camazotz unleashed his newly developed Vortex Punch against the Thunderbird that planned to ram him with its beak. "Vortex Punch!" Camazotz roared as he punched the Thunderbird’s head, making the latter cry out in pain. But it didn’t end there. Not wasting his momentum, the Death Bat unleashed a barrage of punches to make sure that his opponent wouldn’t be able to escape his grasp. "Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora! Ora!" Each punch connected. Each punch was equally devastating. As he crashed down from the sky, the last thought on Sahard’s mind was the Majin Princess, Paimon, who was laughing at him in disdain. The three Majin Princes had planned to use her and her army as cannon fodder so they could gang up on her and divide her territory after they were done dealing with the Wanderers and the Death Bat. Never did they expect that she was actually in cahoots with them, slapping their faces in the process. "Damn it..." Sahard muttered just before he lost consciousness. A loud booming sound reached Camazotz’s ears as the Thunderbird crashed on the ground, forming a crater. "I hope Zion will like my present," Camazotz grinned as he kicked the pitiful thunderbird into the portal he had summoned. He would rather not risk them rebelling. As a solution, he sent them to Metatron, who would place a mark of servitude on the captured Majin Princes’ bodies. With that, they couldn’t betray their new Masters. "Maybe I should join Thirteen’s team," Beelzebub muttered as he watched the Death Bat acquire a new subordinate. The other members of the Order of the Apocalypse also sighed in their hearts. Thirteen’s faction was unarguably the strongest among them. Back then, they were the weakest. But in just a few years, they had left everyone in the dust. Of course, the main reason for this was that Metatron’s favoritism toward Thirteen that allowed the latter to do what he wanted. "This can’t go on," Zagan commented. "We should ask for the same treatment." The other Majin Princes all nodded their heads in agreement and decided that enough was enough. "Metatron, we wish to be given the same treatment as Thirteen and Camazotz," Beelzebub said. "We also want to grow our forces." "That’s right," Baal stated fearlessly. All the Majin Princes and the three Majin Kings in the Order of the Apocalypse made their stance known. They knew that getting Metatron’s approval wouldn’t be easy, but they decided to be firm and fight for their own rights. Some of them even prepared a counterargument just in case their proposal was rejected, but to their surprise, Metatron approved of it without making things difficult for them. "Okay. I’ll let you do what Thirteen and Camazotz are doing," Metatron said. Beelzebub, Baal, and Zagan blinked at the same time. They were the leaders of the three other factions and held the rank of Majin Kings. Zagan was recently promoted after much hardship, allowing the members of the Order to gain their third Majin King. And now, the only thing he needed was to gain powerful subordinates like Camazotz to totally dominate the domains close to his. "Really?" Beelzebub asked. "There are no strings attached, right?" "Really." Metatron nodded. "This isn’t a prank, right?" Baal inquired. "Nope." Metatron shook his head. "Definitely not a prank." "We can really just toss anyone inside the portal that leads to this place?" Zagan asked for clarification. "You can toss anyone, but make sure that they are beaten up and can no longer offer any resistance," Metatron replied. "As long as those conditions are met, you can get as many subordinates as you can." A collective silence descended inside the conference room. Suddenly, this silence was broken as the members of the orders scrambled to leave their seats in order to return to their domain. Now that Metatron had given his approval, they would no longer hesitate and start to mobilize their armies to invade their neighbors, making them their subordinates. Metatron chuckled before glancing at the battle that was still going on in the projection. "Good." Metatron smirked. "The more chaos, the better. With Thirteen taking the lead, I’m sure that the end... will come sooner than what was prophesied." With one last glance at the deserted conference room, the God of the Apocalypse disappeared to go back to planting the seeds. Soon, these seeds would grow into harbingers that would appear when the fate of the world reached its final stages.
