Chapter 140 - I Will Take Care Of You And The Child "Jia Li, are you pregnant?" Fu Hua asked in a low tone as he lifted her face. Jia Li wiped her teary eyes and remained silent. Fu Hua sighed and hugged her. "This is nothing to cry about." He said to her in a gentle tone. Jia couldn't get his point. 'Is he accepting the child?' She thought as she sniffed. Fu Hua was also surprised because this news was unexpected. He forgot about the consequences of sleeping with her without any preparation. He has never thought about having any child yet, so Jia Li being pregnantant now, was surprising to him. "Stop crying. You even threw a tantrum for the first time, were you annoyed with me?" Fu Hua asked as he helped her up. Jia Li wiped her face and allowed him to hold her. She didn't know how to reply to him, because she really threw a tantrum, and it was the first time she was actually showing that side to him. Fu Hua stared at her face for a while before slowly embracing her in his arms. He shut his eyes and held her for a while. "I will take care of you and the child." Fu Hua said from above her head. Jia Li let him hold her as she felt a little relieved with his promise. 'He accepted the child?' She thought with mixed feelings. She was still yet to accept the fact that she was carrying a child. The little plans she had for herself after graduation, were ruined because of the child. This means that she can't get a job, but will have to spend a year taking care of the child. Nobody will want to employ a pregnant woman that just came out of school. This was going to be a huge sacrifice on her part. As Jia Li was still lost in thought, she was pulled back by Fu Hua's question. "How long have you been pregnant?" Fu Hua asked as he patted her back. "1 month and a week." Jia Li replied in a hoarse voice. Fu Hua was silent for a while before sighing. He was actually thinking about something. "When is your graduation?" He asked after because Jia Li still had school to attend. "In a month." Jia Li replied with her eyes closed. "It's fine. Have you eaten?" Fu Hua asked as he released her from the hug. Jia Li shook her head in a negative affirmation. "What do you want to eat, I will order for you." Fu Hua asked as he brought out his phone and was ready to place a food order. "I don't know." Jia Li replied. She was hungry, but she didn't know what to eat. At least, she was feeling better than before and could eat anything now. "Then I will pick the food for us." Fu Hua said to her before going ahead to make a call to place the food order. After the call, he said to her, "Can you hold for an hour?" The food delivery will take an hour since the food had to be freshly prepared before it will be delivered to them. "Hmmm..." Jia Li hummed in reply. Meanwhile, Fu Hee was in an angry mode while on a call with Bai Fen. "How could your son be involved in this kind of scandal? Was he really involved with that Alix?" Bai Fen asked. When she saw the news making waves on the internet, she was already angry. She didn't know the truth about Fu Hua's dating life, since Fu Hee already told her he didn't have a girlfriend back then before the thought of getting her daughter marry him, came to her mind. But what's with the news she was seeing now? "Bai Fen, I don't think my son is involved with that woman. She is only a model that works for his company, maybe she found the opportunity to cause trouble to attract some attention to herself." Fu Hee explained. Fu Hee was also very angry when she saw the news. It was the first time Fu Hua was being involved in a scandal and she was not happy about it. "Forget that Alix girl. And each time I think about it, I get a headache." Fu Hee complained with a frown. What was more frustrating than your plans getting ruined without even getting to implement them? Bai Fen sighed and ended up consoling her. "I think we will still have the upper hand, as long as that girl doesn't become pregnant. Now the news of your son's marriage is out, I can't hide these from Bai Jun anymore. Ah! My poor child." Hearing Bai Fen lament, Fu Hee couldn't feel happy about it.
