The pain medication and antibiotics were not working anymore and Xiulan's mum couldn't tell her about it, so she wouldn't have to worry about her. "Mum, I will speak with the doctor concerning your surgery tomorrow morning," Xiulan said with glistened eyes. No matter what, she must make an effort for her mother's surgery to be scheduled.
