It was reborn for mere seconds, then annihilated completely. Countless others perished with it. ’Dao’s’ mercilessness was starkly revealed in less than a two second span. Using his Undead Eye, Lin Moyu glimpsed a few soul flames drifting. Some Full Completion experts had survived ’Dao’s’ true target was not them, so they only endured the aftershocks; paying a heavy price, they managed to live. But to come fully back, it needed much more and always split some strength off into avatars to appear in the world and gather more belief, while its true self hid and recovered. Not very clever or self aware, but still shrewd enough to realize it must keep a low profile else disaster would follow. But with its avatar slain, its obsession destroyed, and its faith supply cut off by Supreme Xingquan, its plans failed. Mad hatred took hold; it emerged, was discovered and ’Dao’ descended, erasing it with overwhelming force. And not just it countless lives in the Pure Land perished with it. At the pit’s bottom, Lin Moyu found uncountable cracks stretching away. This was where ’Dao’s’ attack had landed; all Lin Moyu had felt was the faintest aftershock. Even now, dread energy still billowed faintly there. Guided by intuition, Lin Moyu selected one fissure and entered it felt like the center of ’Dao’s’ power. Little Tree’s roots extended ahead to scout. He wandered a month, never seeing sunlight, seemingly with no end. At last, one day, the Cause Seeking Ring began to hum...
