Chapter 1997 - Absorbing The Mark Of Inheritance Buzz! Taking a deep breath, I activated another aspect of formation that was covering me; as I did, I had reached for the source of the Rule-Bending power. The source of rule-bending power looked like a cloud of pink mist; there is nothing strange about it. It seems very normal till one looks at it carefully. At that time, they will notice, this is not a cloud of pink mist but a block of pink material that is solid, and they will hear all kinds of sound from it. Another person will see something different entirely. Every time I look at the source of Rule-Bending power, I see something different; the only thing that is common is the pink mist. I formed my will to chain and started biding the pink cloud. If it had been anyone else's will, it would have been repelled immediately, but the cloud did not do anything against my chain of will; it had let it bind it. It took me barely a minute to bind the source of my rule-bending power with the chains of my will, and as I did, I yanked the chains with every bit of power I have; I hold back nothing as I know the pain I will suffer for it, nothing I have felt before, and I have to finish at the single strike. "Ahhhhhh…." Kach! I screamed out loud as the source of rule-bending power yanked up from its place; doing that, I had effectively damaged my consciousness and my soul. I had no choice but to do it, and now, I have to merge the source with the piece of the creative material before this pain makes a mess. I am feeling inhuman pain that I had never felt before, and I could feel my mind seeping into oblivion. 'I can't let it happen!' I screamed in my mind and gripped my consciousness tightly as I yanked my source of Rule-Bending power and moved it toward the speck of creation material. I don't know how much time had passed due to this soul-breaking pain, but I had finally able to bring the source of the Rule-bending power in front of a speck of creation material; they are so close that they are almost touching. Seeing that, I did not waste any time and activated another formation. Buzz! Formation buzzed on my body and shone as the mist began to move toward the speck of creation material, and it began to suck it. Even in the soul-binding pain, I watched the process carefully as it is extremly important and could even be said most important. It is very hard to change its properties; I had fed it powerful elemental crystals, and there is no change occurred in it. I have confidence in my rule-bending power, and both of them have a great synergy; they will merge perfectly. I had just thought that when I noticed the creation material stopped showing every color of the world and stopped at faint pink, not only that, it had locked itself into a gaseous state and not changing in any other states. It is also seemed to be changing its shape, but it is difficult to see given its size; I will have to wait till it absorbs all the mist of the rule-bending powers source. A few seconds passed by, and the whole source had been absorbed by the creation material, which now had turned completely pink and stabilized at a gaseous state. It had also changed its shape; it had now turned sphere, a very tiny gaseous pink sphere. Buzz! As the rule-bending source had absorbed, I felt my pain lessen, but only by a little bit; my soul and consciousness were still very injured by me forcefully breaking up one of my abilities and merging with something foreign which has yet to become part of me. While it was happening, the curse had remained unaffected; there was not even the slightest ripple on its surface. There is also no reaction from Nero; I was expecting it and thought it would come, seeing it is power I had gotten from Nero and inexplicitly linked with his source. Me tearing out my source ought to be sensed by him seeing both our sources are connected, but I had gotten nothing from him. I did not choose to think about it; instead, I focused on the next phase of my plan and immediately activated the formation for it. Buzz! Again the formation buzzed on my body, and a tiny pink sphere began to spin; as it did, the dust from a mark of Clear Heart Inheritance began to move toward elementalised creation material before it started seeping inside it. It may have looked like the mark of Inheritance had been destroyed earlier when it had cracked and turned to dust; it had not. I had just changed its stage for necessary, as the elementalised creation material would not have been able to merge the whole mark easily as I could with the dust. Though, it is dangerous; if something went wrong in the process, I would lose my Inheritance and everything I have worked hard for over a year. It did not take even a minute for it to absorb the whole mark of Inheritance, and by doing that, the size of the sphere have doubled, which is not much of an improvement seeing how tiny that sphere is. Now that the mark of Inheritance has been absorbed, it is time to start the last process; whether the success of me having an Inheritance core will depend on this process and if there is something to go wrong, it will go wrong there. I had made ample preparations, but they did not relieve me of all my worries.. Not to mention, the scyth of the grim reaper is still hanging on my neck in the form of a curse; I hope it would not react as it had not done till now; it would make things much easier for me.
