Garuda, known as the 'Thunder-Devouring Bird,' is a high-ranking constellation affiliated with the nebula Vedas. He serves as the King of Birds and the right-hand man of Vishnu. During the Demon King Selection scenario, he frequently antagonizes Kim Dokja's Company, often meeting his end at the hands of Yoo Joonghyuk or other powerful combatants. Despite his status as a legendary deity, he is consistently utilized as a benchmark of power to showcase the strength of the protagonists. He possesses a massive physical form and powerful elemental abilities tied to thunder and wind. His arrogance and repeated confrontations with the main cast lead to his frequent defeat across various scenarios.

Garuda is characterized by his arrogance and hubris, frequently belittling members of Kim Dokja's Company. As a loyal servant of the Vedas, he carries a deep sense of superiority common among high-ranking constellations. He is aggressive in battle and possesses a distinct, monstrous scream used to signal the arrival of powerful combatants or the commencement of hostilities.

Appearance

In his base form, Garuda is a massive bird of prey. In the webtoon, he is depicted with grey and white feathers, a long golden beak, and piercing blue eyes. He wears red garments and is adorned with various golden ornaments typical of the constellations within the Vedas nebula. His physical form is characterized by its immense wingspan capable of generating gale-force winds.

Backstory

Garuda is one of the eight classes of deities in the Vedas and serves as the personal assistant to the mythical trinity member Vishnu. Within the Demon King Selection, he actively hunts participants including Kim Dokja and Jang Hayoung. He is later involved in the 85th Main Scenario, Ragnarok, where he receives a power boost from the Samudra Manthan Giant Story granted by Indra. Despite his narrative grade power, he is repeatedly defeated, notably by Yoo Joonghyuk and Lee Hakhyun, and eventually meets his end during the Execution Stage or the Final Scenario after insulting Kim Dokja's Company.
