Supreme Magus
Description
Acala is a former Ranger of the Griffon Kingdom who became the host of the cursed object known as Dawn. Despite a decade of service and high aptitude in magic, his bitterness over a lack of recognition and advancement led him to succumb to Dawn's influence. He is characterized by his deep-seated envy of those with greater talent or status and his willingness to commit atrocities to gain power. After bonding with Dawn, he became a ruthless, power-hungry individual who participated in major assaults against the Kingdom. His relationship with Dawn eventually evolved from a parasitic dynamic into a symbiotic partnership of mutual dependency.
Also known as
Acala is a deeply jaded and bitter individual defined by extreme envy and a sense of entitlement. He feels marginalized by the Kingdom despite his years of service and frequently compares his modest success to the achievements of others, particularly younger, talented mages. After bonding with Dawn, his personality shifts toward unchecked greed and ruthlessness as he becomes intoxicated by his new power. He is prone to volatile outbursts, justifying his horrific actions as self-defense or blaming others for his perceived failures.
Acala is described as a man in his early thirties, standing approximately 1.78 meters (5'10") tall. He has chestnut hair with patches of grey and a light brown beard that appears almost red. His Soul Projection is visually represented by chains, symbolizing the weight of societal expectations and his own inner misery.
Acala served in the Corps for over ten years, showing high aptitude as a War and Battle Mage, yet felt unrewarded and overlooked by the Griffon Kingdom. Seeking refuge, he joined the Rezar tribe, married, and attempted to learn their unique Light Mastery, but his inability to do so fueled his growing resentment. Dawn, a cursed object, exploited this jealousy to manipulate him into becoming her host. Acala ultimately burned the Rezar village to the ground, killing his wife and kin in the process. He spent months manipulating Lith Verhen and the Kingdom's military hierarchy to bolster his own standing as a hero, eventually revealing his true nature as a servant of the undead and the Horseman of Light. Following several defeats at the hands of Lith and Solus, he and Dawn developed a unified power core, becoming a more dangerous threat before being rescued by Baba Yaga.
