Supreme Magus
Description
Dorian Felhorn is a Great Mage affiliated with the Mage Association. He served as the primary liaison between the Association and Lith Verhen during Lith's assignment in Othre. Dorian often found himself caught between the political desperation of his superiors and his own conscience. Despite his role, he frequently expressed doubts regarding the Association's manipulative strategies to claim credit and control over Lith. He played a logistical role in tracking major threats like Thrud Griffon and investigating the blue pillar phenomenon. Ultimately, he attained the rank of Great Mage but struggled with the guilt of the casualties and failures that occurred under his watch.
Dorian is portrayed as a pragmatic but conflicted individual. While he adheres to the duties assigned by his superiors at the Mage Association, he possesses a strong moral compass that causes him to doubt the organization's manipulative tactics. He is self-aware of his own limitations, often deferring to more powerful or skilled mages during high-stakes investigations. He is deeply affected by failure and the endangerment of his colleagues, often internalizing guilt after missions that result in casualties.
Dorian is described as being in his thirties with an average height. He possesses a lean build and chestnut-colored eyes.
Dorian introduced himself to Lith at the Swan's Song hotel to facilitate the Mage Association's agenda. The Association, suffering from a series of public failures and a loss of political power, sought to boost their reputation by claiming Lith as an asset. Under orders from Archmage Kwart, Dorian attempted to coerce Lith into service, though he was hesitant about the ethics of the situation. He was later involved in the investigation of the blue pillar phenomenon and the recruitment of Tista Verhen. During the assault on Thrud Griffon's hideout, Dorian was left in a support position while others engaged in combat. Following the failure to stop Thrud and the subsequent loss of life, he was promoted to Great Mage, though he carried significant guilt for his part in the operation.
