Supreme Magus
Description
Illum was a Treantling who served as a thrall under Gremlik and was subservient to Erlik. He was tasked with infiltrating the plantfolk in Laruel to incite a mob against Lith and his companions. Despite his efforts to manipulate the village, Lith quickly identified his nature as an undead creature. When his cover was blown, he resorted to violence, slaughtering innocent villagers in his thrall form. He was ultimately thwarted by Lith and Kalla and killed by Phloria during a desperate attempt to escape.
Illum acted as a calculated infiltrator, willing to follow orders to manipulate others. He demonstrated a cold, lethal efficiency once his cover was blown, showing no hesitation in slaughtering villagers. He was also driven by self-preservation, attempting to flee once he realized he was outmatched by Lith and his allies.
In his Treantling form, Illum stood 2.5 meters tall with light brown bark and sparse yellow leaves tinged with black. As a thrall, his appearance shifted drastically: his bark was replaced by thick, dirty brown fur. He possessed a round head with large, feral eyes featuring bright red irises and vertical pupils. His mouth was disproportionately large, taking up the lower half of his head, and contained razor-sharp fangs ten centimeters long. His arms were heavily muscled and equipped with lethal claws.
Illum was ordered by Erlik to infiltrate a plantfolk village to create chaos and provide an opening for Erlik and his allies to assassinate Lith. Upon confronting Lith's group, he was exposed as an undead entity. After failing to hide his identity, he transformed into a feral thrall form and attacked the local villagers. Although he nearly escaped after being subdued by Lith and Kalla, Phloria used a dimensional door to manipulate his own claws to kill him.
