Kalla

Kalla is a gentle and maternal figure to her children and Lith, yet she is ruthless toward those she deems enemies. She is highly intelligent but absent-minded, often losing track of time and memory when focused on research, leading her to document everything meticulously. She is not naturally tidy, often neglecting cleaning and housework. She balances a stern, eerie exterior with a protective nature, always seeking ways to ensure the survival and growth of her family and allies.

In her human form, Kalla appears as a 5'9" woman in her thirties with raven black hair, a lithe frame, and cold blue eyes. Her body frequently shifts, revealing a skeletal figure enveloped in living shadows. Her Wight form is a massive, shifting mass of darkness often adopting the frame of a giant bear, standing over 8 feet tall with glowing red eyes. Her internal anatomy is a mix of bone and living shadows, with ribs often extended into tendrils to manipulate her environment.

Kalla was a Byk who traveled Mogar seeking the secrets of Lichhood. During her travels, she adopted a human serial killer she had resurrected as her daughter, Nyka, whom she later trained with the help of the Firstborn Vampire Vladion. Kalla was later Awakened by Scarlett the Scorpicore and became a Wight. She famously assisted in the defense of the White Griffon Academy during Balkor's attack, where she taught Lith necromancy in exchange for his help protecting her son, Nok. Her journey toward Lichhood led her into many dangerous territories, including investigations into the Odi race, the Jiera plague, and the Eclipsed Lands. She eventually gained the Eyes of Menadion to aid in her studies.
