Milea Genys

Milea is defined by a deep-seated distrust of humanity, exacerbated by the historical follies of the Gorgon Empire exposed to her by Leegaain. She is pragmatic, stern, and often cynical, viewing power without control as the height of madness. As the only Awakened in her nation, she experiences significant social isolation, feeling disconnected from both common mages and Emperor Beasts. Despite her cold exterior, she is a deeply committed ruler who values the stability of the Empire above all else, often making difficult choices to ensure its survival.

Initially a scrawny sixteen-year-old with frizzy, unruly hair, Milea transformed into a striking beauty following her time under Leegaain's tutelage. Her current appearance features long, wavy, honey-hued hair. She is often depicted wearing traditional formal attire, such as a white silk Roman-style toga when officiating as a priestess, or an ample, deep blue mage robe signifying her status as a high-ranking healer and Empress of the Empire.

Born of humble origins, Milea was a second-rate magician from the Red Basilisk academy who sought to surpass the limitations of her status. Her journey led her to Leegaain's lair, where her relentless thirst for knowledge impressed the Guardian enough to teach her the secrets of Awakening. After training for two years, she emerged at age 23, eventually rising to become the Magic Empress of the Gorgon Empire at 27. Throughout her reign, she has navigated existential threats, including plague outbreaks and the machinations of liches like Veeza. She has actively sought to modernize the Empire's magical infrastructure, including plans for a magic academy, and maintains a pragmatic, if tense, alliance with various supernatural forces.
