Quylla Ernas is a gifted mage and healer from the Griffon Kingdom who rises from an orphaned commoner to become a renowned academic and the 'God of Healing'. Initially timid and physically frail, she attends the White Griffon Academy, where she discovers a profound aptitude for magical research and light magic. Over time, she evolves into a highly capable true mage with a deep commitment to her friends and family, particularly Lith and her adopted family, the Ernas. Despite childhood trauma and manipulation by enemies, she consistently chooses to dedicate her life to healing and scientific advancement rather than combat. She is highly observant, often serving as the intellectual backbone during complex magical crises. Her journey is defined by overcoming past insecurities to become a pillar of strength for those she loves.

Quylla is inherently kind, caring, and intellectually curious, often becoming so absorbed in magical discoveries that she forgets surrounding dangers. She carries deep-seated fears of loneliness and starvation, which stem from her traumatic childhood. While initially timid and prone to social anxiety, she develops significant confidence and internal ferocity after facing multiple life-threatening situations. She values her chosen family above her loyalty to the Kingdom and is highly empathetic, often prioritizing the safety and well-being of others over her own survival. She struggles with the fear that her own powers might betray her, a manifestation of her lingering impostor syndrome.

Appearance

Initially, Quylla was a petite, scrawny girl with long brown hair, appearing much younger than her actual age and suffering from extreme fragility. After receiving nutritional support and training from Faluel, she grew into a 5'5" (1.65m) young woman with an athletic build. Her hair is brown with silver shades. Her 'Soul Projection' takes the form of a Magus in violet robes, whose fingers transform into snakes, representing her internal struggle with ambition and self-doubt. When viewed via Soul Vision, she appears as a being of light with a core tainted by encroaching darkness.

Backstory

Born in the village of Cerea, Quylla was an orphan and social outcast due to her physical weakness. After bandits killed her village's healer, she taught herself healing from old books. Her magical potential was eventually recognized, leading her to the White Griffon Academy. Her time at the academy was marked by struggles with self-doubt and isolation until she formed a deep bond with Lith, Friya, and Phloria. She suffered significant trauma when she was enslaved by Nalear's ring and forced to attack her loved ones, an event that deeply scarred her and fueled her initial refusal to learn offensive magic. Following her recovery and adoption by the Ernas family, she became an Assistant Professor, dedicating her expertise to magical breakthroughs and assisting in high-stakes missions, such as the expedition to the Odi city of Kulah.
