"Already up, sleepyhead?" My eyes got used to the light, and I realized a chandelier was hanging above me. I blinked when I heard a sharp click-clack. The person behind that voice stepped forward. I tautened and sat up, dragged myself backwards until I almost fell off the couch. "Now that’s a face I remember seeing..." "Y-You..." I stuttered. It was her. I shoved her hand away, and she stumbled backwards. I faced Noah, feeling my anger rise. "You kidnapped me." "It wouldn’t have gotten to that if you hadn’t tried to play smart." "You set the hotel on fire!" Slap! Pain exploded as my head turned the other way. "You messed up, you messed up my plan!" "Good riddance." He shot his fist, but he didn’t hit me. I held his gaze fearlessly, and he scoffed before chuckling, then it transformed into full-blown laughter. "Mr. Voss..." Mama began. "Quiet!" he snapped before bringing his gaze back to me, burning in anger, but there was a satisfied look that followed. "It’s not completely messed up, though. I have you now and won’t let you go until I’m done bringing down Ares King." ~☆~ I stepped out of the building. I was unfamiliar with this place, and I had no idea where I was. Earlier, I had discreetly searched for my phone, but I couldn’t find it. What scared me the most was that my ring was gone too. Noah must have taken it. "Looking good, Mrs. King," Noah said, leaning against a Lamborghini. He was all dressed up in his smart suit, looking more human than a skeleton. His hair was sleek backwards, and the curls stood out at his neckline. I had no choice but to wear this silk dress, the thin straps biting into my shoulders, my breasts feeling almost suffocated by how tightly it clung to me like a second skin. Mama was very considerate to remind me I was a diamond by making me wear silver entirely and adding the platinum blonde wig. I bet she knew who I really was, but she didn’t seem to care as long as she got her money. "But you won’t be Mrs. King tonight. You will be my woman." I think I threw up in my mouth. He had fucking stolen Ares’ money. "Care to tell me where we’re going now?" I asked, stiffening when his hand clawed my thigh, and disgust crept through my skin. "The Underworld." The car engine roared, and he drove out. Along the way, I wanted so badly to take his hand off, but the gun sitting around his waist made me rethink my decision. I tried to ignore it, thinking about what he meant by the underworld. I never thought it was an actual place. Is there like a portal to hell or something, or is it a metaphor? The car came to a stop. "We’re here..." Noah said. "Where?" "I told you already." The side of my door was open, and I stepped up to see a very bulky man, as well as many others. I was frightened as I rounded the car to Noah, who forced me to his side. "Don’t forget, you’re my woman, and I want you to act like it. Do I make myself clear?" I gave a tight nod, feeling my nerves soar when I saw more men. "Speak!" I flinched when he barked at my face. "Yes." Noah grinned. "Now, which name am I gonna call my woman?" He squeezed my ass, and my body locked tight as he eyed me with a thirst I had never seen before. "Diamond," I replied with clenched teeth, trying to keep from slapping his hand away, all I could do was glare. "We can go with that. I have my diamond for the night." He leaned close so that he could whisper in my ear. "Too bad Ares King isn’t here to witness this."
