Chapter 496 - The Huang Family's Search For Answers Two, the Huang family without the permission of their family's patriarch, Old Mr. Huang, went in search of their long-lost sister and the relationship between her and Jia Li. Immediately Jia Li's hometown was found on her profile, the Huang family members decided to make a trip to that place on their own. When Mr. Huang had found out about this, he was infuriated and scolded everyone with threats. Old Mrs. Huang chose not to be quiet this time around and talked back to her heart's content. "I don't care if you approve of this or not but I'm going to find answers about my daughter, whether you like it or not!" It wasn't easy to locate Jia Li's hometown since they have never been to that place before. But with a lot of questions asked to strangers, they finally got to the street Jia Li and her parents lived in. For this trip, only Old Mrs. Huang and two of her children went. The first daughter and the second son came with her. Now, the three of them were in one car. "I think we are in the right street but the problem is how to locate the particular building as they all look a little similar." The first daughter said with a frown. "This is not a big problem, we will just find out the same way we got to this place." The second son who was sitting in the front passenger seat replied. As the driver was slowly driving the car down the street, they met a middle-aged woman who happened to be Mrs. Li, so they stopped the car to ask her for directions. "Excuse Ma'am." The second son said to Mrs. Li after their car stopped beside her. Mrs. Li looked surprised to see such a flashy car stop beside her and she could only see the two people in front, as for the backside of the car, she had no idea if people were there because the glass was tinted and was not wind down. "How can I help you?" Mrs. Li asked with a polite smile. "Please, can you tell us which one of these houses belongs to the Qin family, we are looking for someone." The second son said with a slight smile. When the Qin family was mentioned, Mrs. Li was taken aback and wondered why they were looking for Jia Li's house but she pointed out the house to them. The second son of the Huang family thanked her, before closing the car window. After they drove away, Mrs. Li stood there for a while to stare at the car that had just taken a turn, before walking away. Finally, the Huang family found Jia Li's house. When they had all stepped down from the car and walked towards the door they saw that it was locked and their hopes died down, especially the anxious old lady of the Huang family. "Mother, the door is locked and from the look of things, nobody has been here for a long time." The first daughter said with a slight frown after observing the padlock and the dusty door with cobwebs. Old Mrs. Huang shook her head and said, "This can not be the end of the road." "It looks like that woman we met just now, knows about the Qin family from her facial expression when we asked her for the address. If we knew, we would have asked her for some details." The first daughter said in regret. The second son sighed and said, "I had thought about that but it wouldn't make sense to ask such sensitive questions just like that." The driver who drove them down to this place suddenly grabbed their attention. He called out to them while pointing at the next house beside that one. "I hear some sounds coming from the building, we can ask the neighbors some questions." Seeing this opportunity to know about, they quickly made their way to the door of Jia Li's neighbor. It took a few knocks for a rude familiar woman to come out and open the door. But when she saw the rich-looking people standing in front of her door, she smiled and immediately apologized to them. Old Mrs. Huang was so tense while waiting for the woman's reply. Jia Li's neighbor stared at them in confusion before replying, "I know someone by the name Qin Li who lived there. She is late now but she was a nurse not a fashion designer." Old Mrs. Huang clutched her chest and almost fell backward out of shock but was luckily supported by her son and daughter. Jia Li's neighbor was confused with the old woman's sudden outburst of emotions. She was now beginning to think that she was related to Jia Li's late mother. Five minutes later, the Huang family was sitting in the tiny living room of Jia Li's neighbor. The space looked cramped but tidy, so it was still better than standing outside. The first Huang daughter, showed a picture of her sister, Huang Li to the woman, to see if she knew her. "Her face looks familiar but I can't really tell where I saw her." Jia Li's neighbor replied with a frown. What she has just seen was a picture of Jia Li's mother before she married, so her face looked a little different, including younger and well taken care of, so she didn't recognize her.
