Chapter 9 - One Is Quiet And The Other Is Playful Fu Lei sighed before going ahead to ask how his Old Man was doing. "You tell me, how do you think I'm doing?." The Old Man retorted. "Father, I can see you are recovering quickly. But we still need to take you to the City for proper recuperation." Fu Lei insisted. He could see how energetic the Old man was, so he insisted on him coming to the city for a full body checkup. "If that is what you came for, just leave immediately." The Old man was sitting up, quietly laid down on his bed, and shut his eyes. It was obvious he wasn't even ready to take a step out from the hospital room. Fu Hua knew the matter had come to a dead-end, so decided to intervene by taking a step forward. "Grandfather, it's Fu Hua. How is your health?." Fu Hua asked, but his tone seemed awkward like he wasn't used to caring about other people or asking about their well-being. "Did you come to force me back to the city like your father? Then go away, I'm not interested." Grandfather Fu rejected him without opening his eyes. "No Grandfather, we came to see how you are recovering. Nobody is forcing you to go back home." Fu Hua hurriedly explained. "Yes, Grandfather. Who would dare to force the Great Militant?." YingPei said with an exaggerated look on his face. Grandfather Fu opened his eyes to glance at his Grandsons before turning to look at their father. "Fu Lei, go back home, I will be fine here. Go back and take care of your wife before she causes trouble. I don't know why you dragged everybody out with you." "Father, I will do as you said. I will be waiting for you back home." Fu Lei said before saluting. "Take those people with you, I don't want any disturbance." Grandfather Fu said as he shared his son away. Fu Lei turned to look at his sons before walking out of the room. That look meant they had to persuade the old man to get back home soon. "Grandfather, have you had lunch?." YingPei asked as he came to his side. "You Brat if you disturb my peace, I will send you away." Grandfather Fu warned, and YingPei raised his hands in defeat. Jia Li was surprised ???? to see how respected the Old Man was. And it looked like they would do anything the Old Man asked for. See how the two grandsons were standing, she stood up from her seat, but the Old Man asked her to sit back down. "If they can not stand, they should leave with their father." YingPei asked as he tried to depict the meaning of her name. "Jia Li means, Good and Beautiful," Grandfather said as he helped him out. "Ohh! Your name sounds pretty, but..." Grandfather Fu caught him off before he could finish his sentence. "Stop acting like a rouge!." "Grandfather, where did you pick her up from? She looks so young." YingPei asked the Old Man. "It is the Other way round. She picked me up." Grandfather Fu replied. "Oh! She saved your life." YingPei said with a little wonder as he gave Jia Li a scrutinizing gaze. "How did she save your life?." YingPei asked again, but he received a warning glare from the Old Man. "Your Brain has been eaten up by the foreign food. Look where you are and who you are questioning. Fu Hua, get your brother to join the company with immediate effect once you get back to the City, I can see his brain has been idle for a long time." "Yes, Grandfather." Fu Hua replied respectfully. "And what's with the Cold countenance? Don't scare Jia Li, or you better wait outside." Grandfather Fu said to him as he pointed at the door. Jia Li didn't dare to butt in or to take a look at the young men being scolded. She didn't want to get into any kind of trouble. "Grandfather, we'll be back. We need to speak with your doctor and settle your bills." Fu Hua said before turning to walk away with YingPei behind him. When his grandsons left, Grandfather Fu said to Jia Li. "Girl relax, they are my grandsons, they don't bite. One is quiet while the other is playful. When you get to know them very well, you will understand them better." "When I get to know them very well?." Jia Li said, repeating the Old Man's words to him with confusion on her face. "When the time comes, you will understand better." Grandfather Fu replied with a knowing smile on his face. "Oh!. But Grandfather, why are you Authoritative with your family?." Jia Li asked. "If I don't do that, my opinion won't matter. Look at me, I am already Old. I have two sons and one daughter, and all three are doing well in their capacity. If I act calm with them, I can not maintain peace, and nobody will listen to me if there is a misunderstanding between any of them." Grandfather Fu explained. What he meant is that if he didn't act strong-headed, his children and grandchildren being great people already, will not bother to take his words important, so he has to act as one in Authority and keep them under his watch and command. If he did everything they wanted of him, then things will change for the bad. Grandfather Fu is acting this way because of the Kind of Family he has. "Oh! Grandfather is only doing this to protect yourself and the interest of your family." Jia Li said having gotten his point. "You are right." Grandfather Fu said with a smile on his wrinkled face. "Grandfather, how many grandchildren do you have?." Jia Li asked. "You will know soon." That was the old man's reply.
