Chapter 1483 The Wailing Horde Naked, except for the tattoos that covered him from his hairless head to the soles of his feet, Noctis walked out of the wilderness of Raul with his eyes closed, each step that he left behind was filled with blood, stamping firmly unto the earth, and there was a loud thump every time he walked, it was as if a giant was treading the earth, indeed the entirety of the wilderness shook with his footsteps. The blood that he left behind him was like a cancerous plague on the earth, they ate up everything in their path, digging dip into the earth until they reached the core of this realm and extending far into space as if they were reaching for the heavens, and so behind Noctis there was nothing, his blood ate away at space and time leaving a void that slowly healed, but reality in those spots was corrupted, filled with a black rune that could not be seen with the eye or any senses, be it normal or supernatural, one would need to be dead if they wanted to observe these runes, because they were weaved from the stuff of death itself. The Wilderness of Raul was slowly been destroyed under the unrelenting tread of Noctis. This unknown place that had housed ancient divinities since the beginning of the Primordial Era was being eradicated at the foundations, and this epic feat was being done in silence, a world that was as massive as an Eternal Realm were simply vanishing without any fanfare. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂 Its purpose had been satisfied, it had housed the remnants of Noctis beneath the gaze of all in existence until something had changed, and the wilderness was no longer needed. If there was any justice in existence, its name should be remembered, but it would never be, no one except for Noctis would know that this wilderness had ever existed. There were barely a few more miles of wilderness left in front of Noctis, for although his movements seemed to be slight, each step he took covered countless miles, and soon there would be nothing before him. However, it could be easily noticed that with every step he took, Noctis's bleeding was easing up, and when he took his last step, there was barely any blood left, but it was enough to finally eat away at the last of the wilderness, and Noctis stood in the void, his eyes were closed as if sleeping and he remained in this singular position for months. He was waiting. Since his tattoos had consumed the ancient divinities inside their tomb, Noctis had noticed that his mind was transforming, it was almost as if he was falling asleep and waking up at the same time, and some part of him noticed that what was happening was similar to the rite of passage for every Noctis where the tattoos sought out a new host, but this one was different, Noctis instinctively knew that there would no longer be a new host, instead the reawakening of an old one. He was becoming something new, and he was also becoming something old. Noctis seemed to be caught at a cross-road, awaiting a single decision that would either change his fate or doom him to this eternal existence where his nature hanged on a balance, and Noctis could feel that this change was rushing towards him with an unstoppable momentum, it was as if his path had already been laid out in front of him, and he no longer had a choice in this matter. As if his thoughts had conjured that inevitable change, the void far ahead of him shattered, and Noctis opened his eyes. Although the wilderness of Raul had been destroyed, the location where it had previously resided was an extremely secretive place, it had lasted throughout the Primordial Era and the Supreme Era with no one ever finding it, however, everything had changed today. The space ahead of him had broken, wiping out the tranquility of this place and from within that shattered space, Hordes of Demons poured out like a flood, their numbers were so vast that they would have flooded an entire universe in barely a moment. Their presence was like a plague on reality, as a gray haze began to spread ahead of the horde, corrupting everything they touched, and behind them reality closed itself with a harsh screaming sound, cutting off the flood of demons from whatever level of the Great Abyss that they had emerged from, however, a sizable number of demons had been able to make their way through the tear and among their numbers were many great demons whose presence warped reality.... Demon Princes, Kings, Emperors, and even a Demon Lord. It was as if an entire level of the Abyss had broken into reality! Noctis seemed to be frozen in place as he did not make any move even as the horde of demons neared him, he simply watched them with a lazy sort of curiosity as if he was sleepwalking and his grasp of reality, tenuous. Except for the tattoos on his body that seemed a bit agitated, Noctis seemed patient to wait on this single spot for whatever change that he was expecting to occur or not to occur. If it did not happen now, then the change would come in the future. Maybe it was because he did not move or made any action, when the horde of demons reached his position, they simply swept past him, and for a moment he resembled a lone raft in the midst of a turbulent ocean of bodies. No demon touched him, they swerved around him without them even realizing they were doing such. Demons numbering in their billions were flashing past him at every moment, and they all seemed to be unaware of his presence, the sight was indescribably eerie, as Noctis with the tiny body of a man was like an ant in the presence of monstrosities where the smallest among their number was as large as a mountain, and yet they all avoided his position. As if in a trance, Noctis stretched forth one of his hand and he brushed the scales of a passing demon and it did not seem to notice, and with him just leaving his hand in that position he touched millions of demons in a short span of time, and something like a smile touched his lips. In the distance, the first demon that he had touched had already traveled for many light years at this point, suddenly shuddered as it came to a screeching halt and then it wailed. It was a scream of pure misery and anguish that only the entire destruction of a being could cause. The Demon did not scream for long before it collapsed into a puddle of black ink. With the speed of the Demons behind it not slowing down despite the tragedy that had just occurred, thousands of them ran into the black ink, and their death was just as swift, they gave heart rending cries before they collapsed into large drops of black ink. Millions of demons had flowed past Noctis hand before he dropped it, and in the next moment the screams that began to arise from the horde was so great that many dimensions away, this sound could be heard.
