Chapter 1975: Teach... Fear (Final) The Destroyer that emerged from the top of the Abomination’s head was different, evolved. Like his opponent, Eos knew that rapidly evolving his body was a foolish move, but there was one thing he could rapidly evolve to become better at his task, and that was his weapon. In one of the many worlds where he had gathered knowledge from, he remembered a saying from a hunter. "The red hawk, Anansi, has learned to fly without perching, and I have learnt to shoot without aiming." This new Destroyer was raw, brutal, born of desperation and divine slaughter, and its purpose was simple: to kill a being that was endless. The metal was black-red, veined with the same molten crimson that now coursed through Eos’s arm. The edge flickered with the light of every immortal being he had ever slain, their final moments compressed into a single, screaming line of annihilation. It was a terrible sound to hear the final cries of an immortal, and now this sound had been multiplied nearly infinitely. The face of the Abomination was lined with cracks as it twitched, its incredibly powerful mind reasserting itself, but before it could understand everything that was happening, Eos yanked his Destroyer downward. The new blade carved through the Abomination’s body from crown to groin in one savage stroke. White flesh parted with a wet, ripping sound, thick layers peeling away like wet parchment, revealing the screaming fusion of Realities beneath. Corrupted Realities shattered under the cut, their ethereal backbones snapping like brittle bone. Nascent Abominations that were struggling to be born uncoiled and burst, their birthing cries turning into high-pitched wails as they evaporated. All of these corrupted flesh wilted into black rot that dripped upward in defiance of gravity, raining into the darkness. The Abomination staggered, arms flailing in slow, graceful arcs that were almost beautiful. Half its mass had already ceased to exist; the other half was unraveling. However, its vitality was incredible, as power flooded into its body and its skin began folding inward around the wound, trying to close the absence by collapsing itself. Children’s faces surfaced on the torn membrane, mouths open, eyes wide, voices overlapping in a chorus of terror and love. The Abomination was using its corrupted voices, and now it began to reach beyond what it should have gotten from the Cradle and was digging into the past, no longer trying to hide the outside influence. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂 "I love you—" "Make it stop—" "Daddy—" The words from all these children cut deeper than any blade as Eos felt them like knives in his own heart. But he did not stop. Why would he stop now when there was nothing behind him but desolation, and everything ahead was freedom? He twisted the blade as he combined multiple traits of his Slaughter Revenant Aspect and his Doombringers Covenant, pouring it all into Infinite Rage while channeling it through his Tri-Core Sigils, power multiplying exponentially, each heartbeat a detonation of Eos. Anyone else would have been torn apart from having so much power flowing through their body, but Eos only grunted when his physique was being strained; however, his Strength Core surged past limits, while his Constitution Core strained to contain the overflow, but since his durability was increasing, he could still maintain total control of this power. His arm had transformed back to a swollen, red-black column of divine blood and became the conduit for his rage. After his loss at the hands of the Ancient Primordials and all the lies associated with his history and even his most potent treasure, Eos had long deliberated on what made him unique. It did not need to be his most powerful trait; it just had to be something that only he was able to accomplish, and he came to the realization that it was his fleshy body and the sheer fucking strength he could call upon if the need arose. He lifted the Abomination higher, impaling it completely on the reborn blade. The white body hung suspended, limbs twitching like a broken puppet, even as it was healing and still actively evolving. Eos did not care because the power he was gathering was a hundred times greater than what he had used a moment ago. Eos spoke, voice raw with every slain god’s lament, taking the form of a Slaughter Revenant. "You wanted to feel new things... You thanked me for this, how foolish of you." He drove the blade upward, and the Abomination’s torso split wider, edges curling like burning paper. White pus and golden absence mixed in the air, hissing where they met, birthing micro-realities that lived and died in the space between breaths, brief, screaming worlds that flickered out as soon as they formed. The boy’s face flickered, the calmness was gone, and there was confusion and a bit of fear growing in his eyes. It was one thing to know that Eos had a power called the Tri-Core Sigil, whose entire purpose was to gather all the power that Eos could ever potentially gain, and then it would strip away that power and save it, so that Eos would be able to gather this power again, and when he reached his limits, this Sigil would take this power and add it to the one it first saved, leaving Eos the space to gather more power... and this process could continue infinitely. The last time Eos had allowed the Primordial Record to check his attributes, what it saw was this: Strength Core: 163 Eos Agility Core: 149 Eos Constitution Core: 370 Eos Each Eos in any of his attributes meant that in a fair Existence, Eos’s greatest potential would stop at 1 Eos, signifying he had reached the limit of what Existence allocated for his power. However, with the Sigil, his strength alone was a hundred and sixty-three times his greatest potential, and his agility and constitution were the same. Still with the removal of the Primordial Record from his body, there was no way to know Eos present attributes, and now that he was growing, his present strength had become so shocking that it did not matter the complexity of the Abomination, the question was, could it continue withstanding any blows from Eos long enough for it to retaliate? Eos leaned in, fusing Slaughter Revenant and his Eclipse Form, which made his skin into prismatic shadow, and when presented side by side to the shuddering Abomination, the differences were stark. "You wanted surprise." He twisted his arm, causing his blade to ground deeper, tearing through fused realities and shattering every hope for the Abomination to ever leave his blade. "I’m giving you one." Just the fraction of the power that was being sent out from Eos’s moves had rippled out across this space, tearing the darkness that the Abomination had used in covering it, exposing the battle to the eyes of Limbo. The Beast of Inevitability had nearly gone insane with anger and sorrow when it saw Eos disappear into the mouth of the Abomination, and the only reason it had not rushed down to help was that it detected that there were still rumbles of battle ongoing. Still, when the head of the Abomination was shattered into dust, and it saw Eos holding up the helpless form of the Abomination with his blade, it was struck dumb with amazement. The Realities it had saved were also watching this incredible sight, and their whispers entered its ears, "Is that... is that a Reality?"
