Although it was rare, Staff had been able to come across Rowan’s Angelic hosts when she visited his new universe. However, she was not aware that this powerful new universe was Rowan’s dimension, because at the end of all things, back when the universe she knew had ended, what she saw was a new universe being born after the destruction of the old one. Of course, she did not understand that this new universe was simply the act of Rowan’s Primordial Ouroboros Serpent unleashing their greed across time and dragging the past to the present, but Rowan had taken this change as an opportunity and quietly replaced the image of the lost universe with his own. Since Rowan had consumed this universe’s Will and most of its essence he could perfectly replicate its contents inside his dimension, and across Rowan’s dimension there were many similarities between his dimension and the previous universe, for example, Trion had been faithfully recreated inside his dimension, as his birthplace, he had preserved the memory of this world, even if much of it had been filled with nothing but pain and bloodshed. Staff had left with Andar to the Magus Supreme World, but her home remained back on Trion, and because of the vision of her father who held back her clansmen from fighting in the final war, the Minerva family bloodline remained strong and abundant, and in this new universe they had been able to thrive, coupled with the resources that Staff would bring from outside the universe to aid her kin. The new generations of Dominators on Trion were different, as they were slowly discarding the stiff rule that governed their bloodline and chasing after the greater powers that were not available in the new universe. It was a good thing that Rowan had a flexible admission protocol into his dimension, even after Staff had become a higher-dimensional immortal she could still visit her home regularly. Other third-dimensional universes may not be able to carry her weight but Rowan could effortlessly hold many higher-dimensional immortals inside of him if he wanted. To enter the new universe, Staff had to simply go through a series of checkpoints, and most of them were overseen by Angels, so over the course of a million years she began to associate deeply with these enigmatic creatures, their presence, and their silent strength was a sense of comfort that she could find nowhere else. Life in the Magus world was filled with endless dangers, and because she did not have a Magus bloodline, many protections given to mages that were enjoyed by Andar and other mages could not be afforded to her, so she had to create her domain from scratch, but Staff would not have it any other way, however, the pressure was still enormous and over the years as her powers far outstripped everyone she knew from her family, the Angels became one of her closest friends. In their conversations, they were mostly silent with Staff doing most of the talking, but they never drove her away, but intently listened, even if she talked for months they were silent partners, seldomly making observations or countering an argument she made, at first, this quietness of theirs made Staff incredibly irritated, and it did not help that despite how little they spoke, every word from them were usually truths that she could not refute. However, she had learned how to appreciate their piercing insight and their willingness to listen to her ramble even when she thought they were simply enduring her presence. In a million years, many experiences could be accumulated, and any journey she ventured into could take hundreds or even thousands of years to complete, and having a place to unwind was heaven-sent. To make her powerful, Telmus had made her grow in relative isolation, but Staff at heart was a social being, but her talent and her powers did not make it easy for her to find friendship, and the unlikely connection she made with the Angels was something she had come to treasure. In a reality that was so dark, their brightness was something that was precious. "One day, not anytime soon, mind you, I know how much you guys are devoted to your duty, and I respect that very much, but one day, I will take you all to some of the greatest places in reality, places that I all sure would rock your worlds, hahaha…." Staff valued this relationship between her and the Angels, keeping them secret even from her closest friend Andar, it was something that she felt was uniquely her own, and even if it was selfish, she simply wanted the brief moments she shared with those angels on a lonely outpost at the edge of the universe to be a secret that she knew alone. In all these years a bond had been created between Staff and the Angels, and the thought that in just two seconds, a friendship that could have lasted for eternity had been cut off before it had the chance to bloom filled her with anger and she reached again for the power that had dwelled inside her consciousness from the moment of her birth, and she seized it. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖 ’The one constant in reality is loss, whether it is by outgrowing everyone around you, or by being too weak to save them when it counts. My friends, the only thing I can do is to make them pay.’ ® The destruction of the Great Desert was catastrophic, however, Staff was not done. After a million years, the understanding of her bloodline talent had grown deeper, and coupled with the rage she was feeling from the deaths of all these Angels, she pulled upon her talent to a degree that was shocking. Unleashing all that power from her staff drained it of every energy that it had contained, but the result of that move had rent the earth for countless trillions of miles, the sands had shot up to unknown heights, the heat that was generated from this impact had been focused downwards so there was not much impact on the surface, the shockwave that raged across the surface of the desert had scraped the surface of it down for tens of miles before vanishing into the unknown. There was so much unleashed power here, and Staff sensing all that potential, drew from it. This was not the first time she was trying to collect back the energy she had unleashed from her staff, but on every other occasion, when she tried to pull the energy into her flesh because this was how her talent worked, she always failed. Any energy directed to her was processed inside her Spirit and then directed toward her staff, as she got stronger she was learning to actively pull this energy into her body, but it was very difficult, and knowing that this was the evolution of her talent only forced her to push ahead, but she had never succeeded. For all her potential, her powers were largely passive in nature, as she needed to absorb the power that was directed towards her and she couldn’t just pull that energy from around her as everyone else could, which was her greatest weakness, but to be fair, not everyone could reflect the energy they collected a thousand times over. Following instinct and not normal thought, perhaps blinded by her grief, Staff pulled energy, and not into her body as she normally did, but into her staff. Over the years it was not as if she had not tried to pull energy into her staff, but the damn thing only acted as a one-way channel to unleash the energy she was sending out of her body, but something inside her must have changed, or the fact that she had unleashed so much energy in a single burst than she had ever done in her entire life. She pulled energy that she had once unleashed, and it flowed into her staff. This energy included the cries of Oblivion and a third of the forces she had just unleashed on the Great Desert. Her staff collected the energy, and her body became the source to unleash that energy, and because it all happened inside her body, the magnification of that power became something so ridiculous it began to shatter her body, soul, and spirit, if this attack was unleashed it was unknown if the Great Desert would survive. It was too much, this power was too much for even a fifth-dimensional immortal, and as Staff was heading closer to death, she smiled, "This one is for you, my friends." She did not care if the friendship she had with the Angels was a brief moment in her million years of life, her character was resolute, you harm one of mine, and I shall tear you to pieces even if it is the last thing I do. Staff thought she could hear Andar screaming, but everything was rapidly being replaced by white. The Desert trembled and a vast portal opened, and the presence of Nemesis was blown into the Great Desert along with his cries of rage. A nightmarish visage that was the fusion between a bat and a man emerged from the portal, its gaze fixed on Staff, and it charged out of the portal with rage in its eyes, but then something flashed by so quickly it was barely a blur, and the rage in the eyes of Nemesis dissipated, and its eyes became dull. The flash returned revealing that it was a massive golden hand, and what had just happened was chilling. The previous blur was that hand slicing through the neck of Nemesis in the instant it was about to return to the Great Desert, and that same hand turned and caught the falling head of Nemesis, withdrawing back through the portal. The portal began to close, but then the voice of Rowan emerged from it, "That power of yours, give it to me." Her body obeyed before her mind could and the energy inside the body was drawn into the closing portal, and the last thing she heard before she lost consciousness was the voice of Rowan, "I will not let the sacrifices of any of my children be in vain."
