Chapter 1862: Eat The Hunger (2) There was no powerful surge of energy or Aura emerging from the Primordials; their presence could barely be felt, almost like mortals, and yet, Eos found them more frightening than when they were living embodiments of hunger and madness. Their presence did not scream power, not because they now had less of it; instead, they now had control of it, a control so solid to Eos’s senses that they resembled mortals. However, he did not think he had taken too much power from them, almost as if he had taken just the right amount. Eos’ instinct was telling him that if he battled any one of them... he would lose, and if he won, he would not survive to battle the second. Then Nyxara, Primordial Soul, stepped forward and spoke, "Ah, so it works, we are free." She turned towards the rest and smirked, "Never doubt my judgment next time." Eos created a new Incarnation and sent it towards the Primordial. He was not used to running, even if it might mean that he was heading towards his death; however, even as much as he was focused on the Primordials, Rowan noticed something extremely odd, that he almost did not create a new Incarnation to confront the Primordials. Eosah, who was previously dead, had returned to life. She was still passed out in the corner, but she was no longer dead, and the door to the unknown realm after Origin had also vanished. His senses rippled outwards to discover that her Reality had returned, everyone who had perished when the Primordials had entered Reality was back, all of them... even Telmus, who had died in battle, was back inside Eos’s realm and was slowly gathering energy to bolster his new level of Origin... Also, why did it seem as if all the Origins of Eosah had returned back to her? As if she had never been killed in the first place? Wait, what the hell was happening? Eos’s Incarnation manifested in front of the seven Primordials in a burst of light, and the seven turned to him, their expression were eerily similar, and once more, it was Nyxara that spoke, "You have done well, Eos, and your contribution to our release would be paid in full. We have returned Eosah back to you, and you can choose a thousand Realities to rule over, and we promise not to touch them. We may not have returned everything you have lost, but you also took a lot from us, and so we consider this Agreement to be a fair one." Nyxara smiled at him, "We shall be waiting for you in the Cradle. Take your time. Still, if you choose to fight us, then we also will be waiting, and your death, at least, would be quick... You can be assured of that." And then they were gone. There was no indication to show how they left, and Eos’s Incarnation, Rowan, remained silent before the slight groan of the awakening Eosah made him turn towards her. He had so many questions, and his confusion was such that he did not react to her awakening for quite a while. Everything had changed, but strangely, they still remained the same. The Primordials were gone, but their works still remained, their Memories still wearing the guise of Primordials still remained. It almost felt as if he was living in a dream, but the pulse of life all across Eosah’s Reality shook away that notion. Time seemed to have reversed itself before he had summoned his Final Form, but he knew that was not necessarily the case. Telmus still kept the benefit of his ascension. What had likely happened was that the Primordials had returned all they took. Something had shifted across Reality, and it had taken all of Eos’s assurance with it, and then a thought struck him that made him pause... Reality had changed, returned in a way that it should not have been. What other things had returned? What other... people? He sent a pulse to sweep across Reality, once, twice... stopping at specific spots, but he could not find them; it would seem that the Primordials did not return everything. Eos’s Incarnation, Rowan squeezed his fist, "So, Nyxara threatens me." When he battled Primordial Soul, she had taken out the last fragments of those closest to him. His mother, Maeve, and Andar. She had threatened to wipe them out if Rowan did not comply with her commands. Rowan had not done so, and she had killed them all, assuring him that this was the last time he would ever see them. And yet, Rowan had supposedly destroyed all of her presence inside Reality, leaving only Light, Life, and Memory. How come did she clearly show that she had full access to all that had transpired inside Reality? Rowan closed his eyes and nearly called himself a fool as he discovered how much he had been played. He gestured and manifested the Altar of Unmaking alongside the hammer. Once this Altar had been filled with the power of Annihilation, so potent that it could pull all the fragments of a Primordial’s power down into itself, where everything about them would be extinguished. On this Altar, he had killed four Primordials, and in time, he believed he would also destroy the last three on top of it. "Beware the dragon bearing gifts; always take what you want from the remains of their corpse," Rowan murmured, and then he laughed in anger. That saying was an old one from Trion, and it meant it was better to believe in what you seized from your enemies than what was given to you by them. Primordial Soul... Nyxara had played him beautifully. In truth, Rowan had never intended to battle the Primordials inside of Reality, not this quickly, because he feared that his preparation was not enough. One of the things he feared the most was that he would not be able to kill off all of their Incarnations and memories that were most likely scattered around Reality, and he needed to be sure that he had the right tools for the job. However, his decision for battle was taken away from him when he discovered that Primordial Soul was not imprisoned inside Oblivion but had always been free, and what was worse, she most likely had entered his Origin Land. Spurred by desperation, Rowan had taken a significant risk and began fusing his powers and abilities with the Primordial Record to gain enough power to win this inevitable battle. Without the threat of Primordial Soul, then with Rowan’s character, he would not have taken the risk of fusion until he reached the ninth-dimensional level. Only then would he be assured that any unexpected occurrence that emerged would be solved. The fusion was successful, but it brought with it significant risks; he was exposed to Enoch and was given the power to summon his Final Form. A power that he did not understand, but it was so great that it would solve all his problems. Still, Rowan had not trusted this ability, and he went on to fight Primordial Soul without it. He battled her until she apparently perished, and he seized her last Origin Force. But, as he had feared, this was not enough, and a part of her remained. That part lured him to the depth of her Origin, and among the many things he found, including access to the nascent form of Primordial Imagination, was the Altar of Unmaking. Rowan now saw the trap clearly for what it was, and he was sure that even Primordial Imagination was the sweetener that made him let down his guard. He had wrongfully believed that he had discovered Primordial Soul’s greatest treasure, and the Altar of Unmaking was simply the bonus. "Oh, I have been a fool." Eosah groaned as she stood up, and Rowan nearly growled when he discovered another layer to the deception he had almost missed. Who was the one who gave him the location of the missing Primordial Soul and showed him the door beyond Origin? Eosah’s eyes snapped open. Rowan had not given any indication, but she had sensed that something had changed. At first, she acted confused, but then something shifted in her eyes. It flashed by extremely quickly, but Rowan had caught it. The glow in her eyes was of seven colors, and those colors represented the seven Primordials... he had not been talking to Eosah; she was long dead. Instead, he had been directly talking to the seven Primordials all this time!
