Chapter 1880: The Light of Lumina… (Final) Enoch looked at Rowan for a moment, a light of stupefaction flashing in his pale green eyes, it seemed he was surprised that he had made such an outburst, and he laughed in a somewhat self-deprecating manner. He began walking towards Rowan, but then he stopped, a light of confusion flashing in his eyes before it vanished. “Ah, how long has it been since I spoke to any real person? But you are not real, just a shadow of yourself.” Enoch chuckled, and his bearing grew serious, “This path you are taking, it will kill you, but you shall find your answer… when I deem you worthy.” Turning around, Enoch vanished, and Rowan slowly dragged himself to the wooden throne before he collapsed upon it. A thousand thoughts flashed past his mind, but he dismissed them all to focus on a single moment. It was not the last words that Emoch had spoken; instead, it was what he did before he said those words. He had been surprised at the words he said to Rowan, Lumina, and Abhimha. What were those terms? Rowan was among the most knowledgeable of immortals, but he had never heard of those words before, and for Enoch to give them that sort of importance showed their relevance. “Have you ever seen the Light of Lumina or heard the sound of the Abhimha?” These words could mean anything, or they could be useless to Rowan, but this might not be the case, because when Enoch mentioned those words, the invisible blue flames burning inside Rowan had trembled. From the tiny tongue of flame that Rowan could hardly see, the flame had grown to be several times that size, almost four feet across, and the wave of heat that he could feel yet also could not gave him a strength that he could not describe. He could not touch this flame or even control it, but the mention of Lumina was enough to call his attention. Rowan spoke that word in his heart, and the flame trembled once more. For a while, Rowan observed this flame and began to figure out its properties slowly, but everything he came up with met a blank wall. There was nothing like it in his memory, and no matter the method he called upon to trigger any change with the flame, he had nothing that could influence this unknown power, not unless he mentioned Lumina, and it would respond. At the moment, Rowan did not know the purpose of this flame, but whatever it was, he knew that this flame was born from the weight of carrying the lives of all of existence, a weight that he alone was experiencing, and no one could take this tangible result from him, not even Enoch. ‘You said I do not know the light of the Lumina,’ Rowan spoke inside his heart, ‘but you are wrong, and before you find out how much, it would be too late.’ Rowan was never going to stop his quest to absorb every life from existence, if for any reason at all, it was to safeguard everything that could no longer protect themselves from powers they could never understand. This flame, Rowan wanted to discover more of its mysteries, because it may be the last key to solving the mysteries behind those who had controlled existence for all these years. Rowan was slowly recovering from his last journey to devour the bones of existence, and he was not going to slow down. The weight he held on his back had long exceeded what could be measured contextually, and only his impossible willpower held all of that in place. He did not need to look inside his body to know how much the poison of Enoch had damaged it, but he was not giving up. From the beginning, Rowan had never been scared of a battle of endurance, and no matter how much higher the walls may be, he would still climb them because there was something he wanted, no, needed, on the other side of them. Closing weary eyes, Rowan began to channel the nameless techniques, pushing for the fourteenth layer. It did not matter if the backlash from eating more lives in existence caused the poison to deepen inside his flesh. Rowan knew the scent of the truth from afar, and he was so close to it that he could almost taste it. Of course, he could lose and perish before he could accomplish this purpose, but he had already lost so much before now, and the fear of loss was no longer holding him back. No matter how much he tried to poke at that wound, his scars had become armor. ® Eos heard the sound of Death going to war rippling across Limbo, and he knew that he needed to accelerate his plans from now on. He needed to rid Eosah’s Reality of the last taints of the Primordials. Still, before he did that, he should have done the one thing that he always held back from, which was severing Eosah’s Reality from everything connecting her to any power inside Limbo. The Primordials had to go a long way to manipulate Eos, as they could not simply influence him, not when he had created a system outside their control. The only advantage they had was their in-depth knowledge of that system, which had allowed them to predict his every move. Still, even with all these advantages, they had nearly lost to Eos. With this in mind, Eos saw no reason to change a system that worked, and he set out immediately to carry out his will. Eos had placed the entirety of Eosah’s Reality on a pendant that he wore on his neck after he shaped it into an orb, and now he gestured with his fingers; the motion was smooth and filled with an unnatural grace that would dazzle the mind. The orb floated before him, and Eos encircled it with his hands. The entirety of Reality as he had known it for so long now rested in the palm of his hands. An infinite number of universes, same with higher-dimensional realms… A Reality so vast that not even an Old One could traverse its entirety now rested on his hand, and apart from a brief flash of amazement in his heart at how far he had grown, there was the feeling of responsibility that he could not shake. No matter how flawed this Reality was, even if the Primordials built it as their playground to manipulate him and use his powers for their benefits, this place had still been home, and everyone Eos knew and loved came from here. There was a vast battle being waged in the depths of Limbo, but Eos would rather solve the problems in his home first. After all, how could he claim to be able to fight against a threat that would destroy all of existence if he could not take care of his home first? “The Primordials have been calling the shots for too long here. It is time to change the rules.” Above his hand, Serathis, Chronomancer Prime, and the Origin Ouroboros appeared, all in their humanoid bodies. As higher-dimensional beings, they were able to see the full scale of Eos’s body, and they were speechless in awe. “I told you,” Bahamut whispered to the rest, “We can still grow much bigger, but you all did not believe me.”
