Chapter 2086: Power of The Golem Watching Nyxara being blasted back by the Golem, the Ancient Primordials went grim. If Nyxara could not even budge this unknown entity, then trying to do so by themselves was foolishness, but their prey was still here before them, and it was on its last breath. How could they allow Death to escape? Although the Ancient Primordials had been able to harvest a lot of Origin Force from Death, all of that was just rootless strength. If the embodiment of Death still remained alive, then the Origin Forces they had consumed would not entirely be their own, and they would not be able to digest them. If the Beast had been like the Ancient Primordials of before, who only gathered Origin Forces inside its body and wielded all that power like a hammer, instead of with true control, then every Origin Force that had been torn out of its body would belong to the Ancient Primordials. However, the Beast had completely digested the powers of the previous Deaths, making them its own, until there was no way to distinguish their Origin Force from its own. Since that was the case, the only way the Ancient Primordials would win was if the Beast were to fall. All of the Origin Force they had stolen would belong to them, and they would merge it with their powers. With what they had harvested from Death, at most it would just nourish their bodies, but every time they used the power they stole, it could not be able to be recovered, until the Origin Forces of Death inside of them would be exhausted. Xyris would become the Primordial of Time and Death, Vorthas would be the Primordial of Life and Death, and this would be how they would grow stronger, as well as Nyxara, who would become the Primordial of whatever she was becoming. Still, this distinction would only last for a while, and as long as the Beast remained alive, then these expended Origin Force would return back to it. More than anything, the core of an Origin power wanted to return to itself in order to be complete. It was the reason the Incarnations of the Ancient Primordials could not leave Eosah’s Reality, and as long as Death was alive, the Origin power inside them would always be fighting them for control. The five Ancient Primordials glanced at each other, and they attacked. Their target was directed at the Golem, but in truth, their true intentions were to kill Death. Whatever consciousness was inside this Golem, it was wise as well, and stepped past Death, firmly safeguarding the Beast behind it. "Step aside or face our wrath," Xylos roared and unleashed a storm of abyssal demons, which were billions of parasitic horrors born from his own shredded flesh. Each of them was as large as dimensional clusters, and they were ravenous plagues that could devour anything; they swarmed the Golem, burrowing, corrupting, screaming. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚 Xylos did not think this would be able to stop this creature that had effortlessly blocked Nyxara’s technique, but it could serve as a distraction for them to go for the kill. The Golem’s only reply was to raise one monolithic arm, and time seemed to freeze around it. The parasitic horrors born from Xylos’ blood simply stopped. Every parasitic entity froze mid-motion, then crumbled into fine gray ash that drifted away as though it had never contained demonic will. As always, there was almost no way to tell what method was used by the Golem, as there was no movement in the power of Origin, and every motion it made seemed to bypass any notion of defense. The Golem’s hand continued its arc and backhanded the stunned Xylos across the void. The impact was silent, as its concept stole the concept of sound, but the result was obscene. Xylos’s entire left side caved inward, demonic bones shattering into powder, half his body reduced to a pulped mess that leaked ichor in spiraling arcs. He spun away, bodies blasting across countless dimensions, and only when he was in the far distance could his howls of pain be heard. All the Ancient Primordials had attacked the Golem at the same time, hoping that one of them would succeed. Eldrithor, with his chaotic nature, laughed madly at the fate of Nyxara and Xylos while he twisted probability around the Golem, forcing its form through infinite paradoxical states, solid then liquid then never-existed then always-existed. With the lessons learned from watching Nyxara and Xylos, Primordial Chaos knew not to attack the Golem, but the Existence that surrounded it. No matter how powerful this Golem was, it was still rooted in Existence, and if Existence was nothing but chaos, it would be helpless. The Golem simply walked forward, denying the infinite paradoxical states of Existence imposed by Eldrithor. Each step erased the paradox created by the Primordial as probability itself died against the Temple stone. Eldrithor’s laughter choked off as the Golem’s fist closed around him. It had travelled through space and time, and yet, no one here could determine how it was done. "Don’t you dare..." The curses of Eldrithor were shattered as the fist of the Golem tightened, the wings of Primordial Chaos extended, covering his body so he could teleport out of the enclosure of the fist, but it was useless. Primordial Chaos connection with Existence seemed to have become cut off the moment the fist closed over him, and as the power being exerted by the Golem increased, Primordial Chaos began to scream. What was first destroyed were unsurprisingly his wings, which exploded into harmless static. His body compressed, his bones were ground to dust, and his flesh liquefied, until he was nothing but a screaming sphere of compressed madness the size of a moon. Still, the Ancient Primordial was not dead as a burst of laughter accompanied his screams, and for a moment, the Golem looked almost surprised, and then he squeezed once again, and the sphere burst in a spray of chaotic blood that painted the void in colors that should not exist.
