Chapter 2062: Journey Through Time The next series of moments was almost impossible to describe, even by the Primordials that fought in it. Victorious Genesis was barely a shadow of himself as the shroud of death hung so heavy around him that it was only the actions of Fury that kept him alive as he continuously resurrected the last spark of his soul, just long enough for Victorious Genesis to explode. This method of fighting was insane, and the unrelenting tide of enemies they faced was even more insane. It did not seem possible that they had held on this long, but they did, and every second that passed, their bodies seemed to grow more primitive, governed only by instincts, and even when a band of light closed around their form that carried the power of time, they kept fighting. With a loud snap and a crack of thunder, they vanished, and the insects descended and crushed the last spark of Existence remaining. ® The sky cracked over a world in its twilight, but the sky above was shattered, and so one more crack went unnoticed. This world had once been extremely massive, as it was made from a merger of multiple higher-dimensional clusters. As the war that swept through all of Existence grew heated, it became necessary for such a move due to the weight of the combatants. In this Era, the weakest beings were Primordials, and they had been fighting across Existence for so long that all of Limbo had been torn apart. In all the Existences before this one, there had never been a war that had occurred for such a long time and had been so devastating. With the endless expansion of Existence seemingly unlocking the shackles over what should be the ceiling of power, new and terrible monsters were born every day, and the limits for depravity seemed to be endlessly extended. A twisting beam of light fell from the crack in space, and the reason it was not swiftly destroyed by multiple parties was that the emanations of power from it were so weak that it was easily dismissed. There were countless streams of powers at the Origin level floating around, and in this age, it was not a strange thing. With this oversight, the three Primordials escaped a swift death. They had expended so much on themselves in order to survive that they would not have been able to defend themselves if they were attacked. It also helped that the aura of death around Victorious Genesis was so thick that it partially covered any signs of life surrounding them. They fell to the earth and lay dormant for a decade. They were Primordials, and so they had regained consciousness years ago. They had learned their lesson and no longer spread their consciousness; they observed as best they could while slowly healing from their wounds. Victorious Genesis was the most injured, with the power of death engraved into the core of who he was, but he was lucky that he was beside the best healers a Primordial could ask for, as Circe and Fury spent the majority of their efforts to purge his body of this taint. A Primordial was supposed to be everlasting, and this innate nature of theirs made it possible for death not to have a permanent hold over Victorious Genesis, and over the next century, they slowly purged him of this taint. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶 They did not move from their position all this time, yet they were still able to see many things that made their hearts tremble. In the years that they spent watching Existence, they had seen hundreds of Primordial-level beings fall in ways that were so terrifying that they could not even imagine powers like this could exist. It was a shame they could not spread out their consciousness to see more, but they had learned their lessons. "We have spent nearly two centuries here; did that mean we were fighting that long at the end of all things?" Circe spoke in astonishment as she began to feel a tightening around their essence. Victorious Genesis shrugged, "That does not concern me as much as I cannot recognize any of the Primordials battling out there, I cannot even see the Grand Creator, surely... he has not fallen. How far back were we sent?!" "There is a mechanism of this spell that I am sure gathers information like that," Fury replied, "I am more worried that I cannot sense myself here in the future. It means I am dead. Can either of you sense yourselves? If we can find ourselves, then this could be the best source of information we can ever find." Victorious Genesis closed his eyes and shook his head, "Nope, I cannot sense anything, but without pushing out our consciousness, how can my future self know I exist?" "We are Primordials," Fury responded, "Our Origins are unique, and if two of them are in the same age, there would be a resonance, and I do not think we need our consciousness to create that connection... it should just happen. Circe, can you feel anything?" Fury turned to her, and he saw a weird look on her face as she slowly nodded. "I think so... it is faint, but I feel a subtle connection to my Origin being far away from here," and then she frowned, "I did not really think about this, but, at the end of time, it was very faint but I swear I could feel my kindling deep inside the nothingness, but maybe I am mistaken." Silence fell over the three Primordials as they tried to forget the impossible battle they had just endured. If Circe had somehow survived till the end of all things, then this was not a fate they wanted to wish on their enemy. Seeing the look on their faces, she laughed, "I could be wrong, but if I am not, anything we carry over to the present would help to fight against this fate. I don’t believe we cannot change Destiny." The power of time tightened over their bodies, and Circe sighed, "I can feel my other self coming close, but it is much too late. Maybe in the past, I would have made contact faster." A faint groan echoed across the three Primordials as space and time inverted, and they vanished. Ten thousand years later, a fiery form descended from the sky, and it was the Primordial of Endless Kindling. She looked around this place with a faint glint of confusion in her eyes before she vanished. Cradled gently in her hands was the dying head of Eos. CRADLE OF ENOCH (ONE MILLION COSMIC ERAS FROM THE PRESENT) Despite the fact that Enoch was pushing the Cradle to the present with powers he had gained from an unknown source, Rowan did not stop what he had been trying to do all this time, and that was to consume all the lives that had been taken by End due to Enoch’s madness. It had not been easy, especially since time was accelerated in this place to a ridiculous manner, leading to Rowan feeling a crushing amount of pain that could not even be adequately articulated. The only good side of this was the fact that the consumption of the bones accelerated. Enoch looked at his efforts, and he laughed, "You damned Incarnation, you strive to eat the pieces of what I have discarded, but you should know the truth: every bone you eat has been corrupted by the power of End, and every life inside you is a dagger that is stabbing at your wretched soul. How much more can you endure before you are shattered into a million pieces?" Rowan remained silent. He wished he could answer, but he could not; there was no mental strength left inside of him to articulate his words. Enoch’s voice was just one more blade in the endless blades being repeatedly stabbed into his heart. And Rowan also knew he could not fail here because he was carrying a secret that Enoch could not be allowed to know about. Burning inside him was the light of Lumina, and the sound of the Abimha! This was the legacy of the Luminious! Everybody in this whole damn war was chasing after ultimate power. Enoch wanted to return so he could fuse with the body of the Abomination and devour the Origin inside the Primordial Record... the Ancient Primoridials, Death, his main body, Eos, and every other hidden party was pursuing this power. And yet right underneath their noses was the key to the ultimate power that had never been topped before, and it was inside the body of a small Incarnation. Rowan did not know what was unique about his actions and this place that gave birth to this power, but it was fascinating to consider that the legacy of the Luminious had not perished. Rowan was not afraid of the power of End, and that was because the invisible flame inside him was burning it all away. There was a reason that End feared the Luminious. So, he only had to do the impossible task of surviving the ascent of the Cradle to the present day, and return back to his main body.
