Chapter 1609: Meet Again In The Sun Rowan closed his eyes, an expression of intense pain crossed his features, and blood trickled down the side of his lips. He had endured the pain of his dimensional flesh and soul being shattered to nothing, his entire life and memories were unraveled, and he had fought his way through the armies of heaven, yet he had not shown this amount of pain. It was only for a brief moment, but the depths of Rowan’s pain were unfathomable. There were significant advantages to having a soul that was so powerful, it granted him the ability to comprehend far beyond the limit of immortals, but it also made the feeling of loss, when it hit, become countless times more terrifying. It was so terrifying that for that brief moment, it shook Rowan’s resolve. A resolve that was powerful enough to stand against a Primordial and break him. Rowan whispered to Eva in his heart, the last remnants of her presence that lingered, ’Promise to meet me on the other side.’ His eyes flashed open, and all trace of pain was gone. He raised his left hand, "Primordial Light, you have the space between five moments to speak your mind." Primordial Light cocked her head to the side, "If there is one thing I like about you, it is your boldness. You barely have seven moments of life left in you, and you believe you can defeat me in the last two. Ah, I can see why she fell for you." Primordial Light stood up from her throne, and the surroundings began to transform. Rowan found himself standing above the domain of Primordial Light; below him, a great war was being waged. A hundred thousand great Legions had unexpectedly begun to rebel against the control of heaven. This was not a simple battle but a cataclysmic heavenly civil war that raged across heaven, the Astral Sea, and even the edges of creation itself. It was a conflict of divine wrath, broken oaths, and shattered glory, during which entire Legions of Angels were unmade, and the fabric of reality trembled. In this battle, the Celestial Creators rebelling were at least half their numbers, and those loyal to Light were being pressed on various fronts. Rowan was shaken. According to his most optimistic projection of this conflict, there was to be no more than nine great legions who would rebel. How was Eva able to achieve this massive uprising? Rowan schooled his features, not allowing any hint of his amazement to leak through as he watched the catastrophe below. There were several details that were not adding up. His summoning by Primordial Light was unexpected. Initially, it was supposed to be Eva who should have done this part, and if she had failed, Rowan’s battle against heaven would have been postponed. However, he had lost too much of himself in his battle with Primordial Memory and was at the end of his rope. When he saw the summoning from Primordial Light, Rowan accepted it. After all, he would perish in a short time, and he had nothing to lose. Yet this did not stop Rowan from wondering why Primordial Light had sent for him, and her insistence on talking, instead of crushing him like a bug. Now all the mysteries had been solved. Eva, that annoying and lovable partner of his, had broken heaven! ® Primordial Light had been looking at him from the moment he brought Rowan to the height of heaven, and if she was looking for any clues in Rowan’s demeanor, she got nothing. After saying this, Rowan took a deep breath and closed his eyes, shutting off his perception from looking at the fall of heaven below. If you do, then I shall purge the effect of Gilded Maw from your body and soul. I will become your ally and protect you against Memory, Demon, and Time for this Era." With Rowan’s intellect, it was possible for him to have a mental struggle with Primordial Light, bluffing and threatening in equal measures to find out the limits of this Primordial. But he was tired. For all intents and purposes, he should be long dead, and his will had been stretched far beyond his limits, and the only thing keeping him conscious was a firm view of his purpose. After stating his will to Primordial Memory, Rowan attained the power to battle against Primordials, which meant that for as long as he drew breath, he would kill them all. Pointing his broken blade at Primordial Light, Rowan sneered, "Why would I stab my heart, just to appease a mad god?" Primordial Light stretched out her arm, "I offer you peace on a golden platter, and you spit on my face. If you would see my dominion fall, then what remains of your soul shall be its brazier!" "BOOOM!!!" Power burst out of Primordial Light in waves of endless radiance that would cause all of creation to tremble and worship before it. Rowan was closest to Primordial Light, so he could sense the full depths of the power that had just been revealed. It began with a tremor in the fabric of existence—a silent, searing burst from the void. The darkness, ancient and suffocating, shuddered as a single point of light pierced through. It was not the gentle glow of dawn but the awakening of something older than time. The light swelled, and all of existence held its breath. This radiance washed over Rowan, and even though the strength of this body was physically at the level of an Earth god, he did not take a single step back. When Rowan’s choice was to battle, his will would become focused, all of his powers would be pointed in a single direction, and in this state, not even the unveiling of a Primordial’s might could shake him. He lifted his blade to shade his eyes because the radiance emerging from Primordial Light was so great it continuously burned out his eyes, but it did nothing to hide the shadow of Eve, who was at the center of that power. It was at this moment that a thought occurred to Rowan, and a part of him nearly howled in pain. The radiance from Primordial Light bloomed, unfurling in luminous tendrils that carved the heavens into being. Stars ignited in its wake, not as distant sparks, but as echoes of its voice—each one singing a fragment of the Primordial’s name. This great commotion halted the battle across heaven as Primordial Light fully unleashed his powers. Yet this did not bring unification; instead, it seemed to fuel the hysteria in the minds of countless Celestial Creators. The battle resumed, and this time, it became even more bitter. Heaven was falling into ruin as the Celestials battled to the death. The Primordial began walking towards Rowan, her size towering above him, "Do you think this setback would mean anything in the grand scheme of things. It does not matter if a hundred Era passes, my Will would be done, and even the fragment of your presence would be nothing but a memory." As she walked closer to Rowan, the pressure the Primordial emitted grew so great that he could no longer move. Rowan Will was Supreme, but in the heart of a Primordial’s domain, directly in front of its Throne, Rowan, who had been reduced to his lowest, could not move. Seizing him by the neck, Primordial Light brought Rowan up to her face, "The five moments are gone, and you are free to battle." The Primordial waited for a response, but of course, she would get none. Rowan could not even breathe. "If you cannot fulfill your word, then I will kill you in the sight of all the heavens; perhaps this would be the answer to the rebellion." Holding him by the neck, Primordial Light descended into the center of the war. They landed like a falling star in the midst of the war, and the radiance of Primordial Light exploded until it surrounded all of heaven. If the Primordial’s previous declaration of power was distant, then she placed herself in the center of a shattered heavens, with stars blooming and collapsing around her. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮 The glory of Primordial Light had never been so potent. Her presence shook the hearts of every celestial, and slowly, the war was grinding to a halt, with countless angels beginning to fall to their knees. "You have all fallen short of my glory." The voice of Primordial Light was like a wordless hymn; it vibrated through rock, sea, and flesh, not as sound, but as pure understanding. His Will shook the heavens, and whatever reason that had caused the breakdown, causing the conflict all over heaven, was being wiped away under the irrefutable wave of a Primordial’s power. Primordial Light smiled; her grace and beauty were more than an immortal could bear. In Rowan’s heart, he could hear Eva’s whisper, ’One day, we will meet again in the sun.’ A single tear dropped from his eyes. " Thank you," Rowan whispered. Primordial Light turned to him, and her eyes widened in shock. There was no way Rowan should be able to speak unless... Rowan’s broken blade quietly slipped through her ribs and tore her heart in two.
