Chapter 1628: Inheritance Of Reality The weight of a name can be endless, and Rowan was beginning to understand the profound depths in these words as he opened himself up to understand the meaning behind the word... Eosah. ® In the beginning, there was nothing. There was simply an endless, silent expanse of unrealized potential, and from the depths of nothingness, a spark of Will emerged, Eosah. These laws were vast, profound, greater than anything Rowan could ever imagine.... ® Rowan’s consciousness, which had been split into a trillion pieces, paused his comprehension of the name of Eosah. This should have been impossible; one simply could not hold back so much information at will. Rowan knew this but did not care; the time when such limitations meant anything to him had passed. He was seeing the origin of Reality, and although it was extremely grand, Rowan still felt a bit... let down. It was because he knew the information he was looking at, although profound... was incomplete. Take, for instance, the birth of Eosah. When she mentioned her name, primordial elements and essence were born: fire, water, earth, air, and arcane Ether. All of this might overwhelm an average mind, but it was nothing to Rowan, who could birth the same essence he wanted. What he was witnessing here was the barest fraction of what had erupted from that powerful utterance, and Noctis, the immortal who gave him the word of Eosah, well, this was the most that his mind could comprehend of that name, and hence it was all that Rowan could see. From what he knew about the Enochian language, the first impactation of knowledge laid the foundation of everything that was built upon that said knowledge, meaning if he completely absorbed the meaning of Eosah from Noctis, the breadth of his expertise on Reality would be fixed on only what Noctis could grasp. With a sigh, Noctis reached for the plate with his hand, but his hand was slapped away by the blue-haired woman, who gave him a wooden spoon. Noctis frowned, black lightning pooling in his eye, but the woman sniffed in disdain, muttering about bad habits as she walked away, most likely to bring up another plate for Noctis to consume. The anger vanished from Noctis’s face, replaced by helplessness. He could not have imagined that he would be in this situation one day. Beside him was a woman with hair made from light and fire. Her eyes were closed, and she was taking in long, deep breaths unceasingly. One of the first things that Noctis did upon returning to Reality and taking over Prism was to gather the details of every promising individual in Reality and those with potential. He had not seen Rowan’s name or expected anyone like him to exist in this Era. This Era was extremely young, and Noctis knew fully well that the real monsters would only begin to emerge towards the end of the Era, where the accumulation and understanding of knowledge and power had reached its peak. Only then could individuals with potential equal to his be produced, but Rowan had destroyed everything he knew about potential. Eighty years ago, Noctis had brought Rowan and the New Light into his castle. He knew that he was bringing powerful and unprecedented figures into his camp and that their presence would forever change the direction of the endless war, but he had underestimated them. Hindsight was twenty-twenty. How could he not have realized that a figure who was capable enough to snatch the dominion of a Primordial under their noses could be ordinary? Noctis had been in the void when Rowan began the ritual to create a New Light, and the direction of his actions was extremely groundbreaking, revealing an unprecedented path to him. He had been aware that a Primordial-level battle was happening, and Noctis had rejoiced, hoping that their infighting would weaken them and leave a road for him to exploit. Contented to lie his head down until everything blew over, what drew him out of his castle was the stupendous energy of death that he was sensing in the vicinity of the battle. He believed such vast powers of death could no longer be found inside Reality, and he had come for this, yet what he met was something more. Noctis could still remember his first interaction with these people here with him, and it was something he would never forget.
